What appears to be quite a long time, the emailing of alerts has NOT been working. We have recently been working with our support to team to get this back up and running. Hopefully this will happen early this week.

We started thinking that the spotlight page was starting to get boring... so, to spice things up a bit we made a slight tweak to how people are chosen to be in the spotlight! Instead of the top person from each category we now select a random member from each of the top lists. Now we will see more of our members have their time to shine!

We had found a couple more bugs due to the recent transition; however, they have all been fixed very quickly and I would imagine no one even noticed. Yes, today is the big day, we are transitioning ItsJustLooks.com to a new server. This should be done during the day today, or as late as tomorrow morning. Either way, keep checking back to see how things are coming along!

Early next week, ItsJustLooks.com will be unavailable for a while. We will be transitioning the site to a new set of servers, which will greatly ease the running of our site. This transition will be done as quickly as possible. Updates will be stored here!

One of my favorite pages on the ItsJustLooks.com site is, Quick Flash. This gives a really quick snapshot of what's going on... like upcoming birthdays, who's been online, the newbies, and recently added photos. Oh, and there's a section with the two most recent updates done on the site. It should be checked out :)

They can keep you from getting a job, or put it right in your hands. They can bring you closer to your soul mate, or keep you from even getting a date with the man / woman of your dreams. They make you want to stay under the sheets for a whole day, or they can induce you to put on your sexy shirt or stilettos and stride the streets with confidence. You judge people based on them (yes, you do) and get judged like wise. We spend a lot of time working out, putting make up on, fighting our hair's natural shape and changing from one outfit to the next. At least in our culture, we give looks the importance they perhaps should not have.

With these thoughts in mind, ItsJustLooks was born as a site where you can have fun and experiment with your looks. This by no means should be taken extremely serious. What you decide you want to look like is your thing, and it does not wholly define who you are anyway.

After all, it is JUST looks :)

It's Just Looks is a site built for fun and experimentation. Have you ever wondered what other people really think about how you look? The idea behind this site is to give people a chance to satisfy our natural curiosity of exposing ourselves to public scrutiny without feeling too vulnerable. Here's a clip from the about page:

...We are all interested in knowing how other people see us; not our friends who know how to respond to questions like "Do I look fat in these jeans?", but mere strangers. People who don't know how sweet / charming / smart / computer savvy / funny we are. People who would probably not be interested in finding out.

Of course, it is impossible to please everyone; and if we listened to all of the wardrobe advice we have received through the years, we would all look like our mothers and grandmothers. Thank God for individuality...
